Q Division understands the lengthy and costly process that is involved in bringing a product to market. Sometimes, all you need is a simple working model as a demonstrator. If you need a proof of concept, a working prototype or a finished model, we can use our experience working with a wide range of materials and techniques to help you realise your designs and ideas.

During the early stages of product development we have built many working prototypes for our clientele. Due to the nature and development of prototypes, we cannot show any images, but we are able to give a brief description of a few of our past projects.

 

• A specialist winch device was required by one of our clients. We designed and built many working prototypes. We specified everything from motors and gearboxes, to materials and wires. Whilst working to tight deadlines we helped our client develop their concept into a unique, highly marketable finished product.

 

• When we were unable to source a suitable mechanical quick release for the Star trap seen on the engineering page, we designed, tested and developed our own firing mechanism to safely release large loads remotely. We now have these perfected and available for sale.

 

• An inline tensioning device for steel wire rope was required for one of our clients and unable to source anything suitable on the market, we designed and built a suitable, marketable device now in production in our workshops.
